Wright singled home a run in the first inning, hit his fourth homer in the third, singled and scored in the sixth, and added an RBI single in the ninth. David Wright homered and singled three times in his fourth consecutive multi-hit game Saturday, and R. A. Dickey earned his fifth victory by pitching six innings to help the New York Mets beat the Miami Marlins 9-3. The knuckleballer earned a painful RBI when he was hit on his pitching hand in the fifth inning with the bases loaded. The Marlins lost for only the second time in their past 11 games, while the Mets have won six of seven. Instead, he endured his 52nd defeat, allowing six runs in 4 2-3 innings. Dickey (5-1) gave up two runs and has allowed only seven in his past four starts. Ricky Nolasco (4-1) missed a chance to break the Marlins' record for career victories by earning his 69th win. Radioactive beach risk from wartime dump 'was ignored'

In a statement it said that where liability for contaminated land is identified the ministry works to meet its portion of that liability. The risk of radioactive contamination at a Scottish beach, which is only now being fully assessed, was reported to the government more than 50 years ago. Radiation at the site at Dalgety Bay in Fife is believed to be from radium paint used on aircraft instruments. Radiation was discovered at the beach by accident 20 years ago. The Ministry of Defence is currently investigating how the radioactive pollution might be cleaned up, but has yet to accept liability. Read more »

It is within these children the requests to get rolling on identifying and storytelling about the past in their lives have fallen upon me. I understand, as once my memory leaves this world there will be many questions forever unanswered. Boxes and scrap books are being emptied as I begin my long procrastinated project of sorting through jillions of not only family photos but news paper clippings, announcements and other memorabilia. Each item, no matter its shape or size represents a person, place or time wrapped in a memory which in turns generates laughter, wonder or tears. Even the contents of my small safe are on the agenda. Within its fireproof walls are ancient coins, passports, watches, rings and other doodads. This is significant because Star Wars and Star Trek have dominated science fiction for decades and the conventional wisdom was that there could never be another major franchise like it. Star Gate (the movie) [1994]. The movie also had a powerful musical score (which was necessary for the Star Wars and Star Trek films). Since this website talks about the business of gaming entertainment, it is useful to look at the business of other entertainment. I remember watching this when it came out. The movie’s theme was ancient mythology (in this case, Egyptian) was actually real in a science fiction sense. It was like a combination of Star Wars and Ben Hur. I was like, “Yay, a science fiction show. Since many gamers are science fiction fans, there is tremendous crossover here....
