Colwell earned a bachelor's degree in construction science from Texas A&M University and a master's degree in engineering from the University of Texas. Pointer was recognized for her exemplary leadership and dedication to strengthening Texas trauma systems. Colwell has 30 years experience, 22 with HDR, and is registered Professional Engineer in five states, including Texas. Pointer recognized for improving trauma care.
